Welcome to the monthly Matched Betting Blog update. Each month I blog about matched betting and what matched betting offers I took part in. This month the Matched Betting Guys & Girls Facebook Group reached over 1100 members! This was a fantastic milestone so thank you to everyone who has joined us and I hope you have found it of value.

March is the busiest month of the year for most matched bettors as it is the Cheltenham Festival. This 4 day event has more offers on that most other months combined and has loads of exchange liqudity providing excellent odds matches.

Before the festival I was keen to spread the message as much as possible that you should be thinking long term with your accounts. It was frustrating to see certain other groups posting offers of little value right before the festival start and would not have been worth risking a gubbing for. Hopefully everyone reading this avoided those poor value offers and saved their accounts to hit Cheltenham hard.

I had a lot of success with Extra Places over the festival. By using each-way bets and keeping qualifying losses down to £2 for £100 potential winnings, plus a bit of luck, I managed to make about £2000 just from these alone. Be aware though that you need a large exchange balance in order to cover potential winnings from these.

There was also good profits to be made from various trigger offers such as free bets for winners and 2nd place refunds. By saving accounts specifically for the festival it meant a single Betfair Sportsbook account returned £400 worth of free bets!
