Welcome to the monthly Matched Betting Blog update. Each month I blog about matched betting and what matched betting offers I took part in. I also use Smarkets for almost all of my bets as it has the lowest commission charge of all the major exchanges.

This month the Matched Betting Guys & Girls Facebook Group reached over 750 members! This was a fantastic milestone so thank you to everyone who has joined us and I hope you have found it of value.

December was an awesome month as I really hammered the minimum bet guarantee offers which made me about £2000 in just a single month! I know a few other people have been hitting this hard with equally good results so there’s certainly the potential there if you’re quick enough and have the bank to be placing £100+ bets at a time. This offer isn’t without its risks though as the odds can change very quickly resulting in your bet making a loss instead if you can’t get it layed off in time

Another quality offer this month came from Unibet who were doing a Darts refund. The offer gave back £50 if it triggered and had a roughly 25% chance of trigger.. so for a £2 qualifying loss it was insanely good value! They started this offer on a Thursday and by the next Tuesday had pulled it as they obviously realised it was costing them thousands. Personally I made about £800 from it before they could stop it

I should also mention a mistake I made this month. UK-K8 gave me a free bet which had a tiny term written in the wall of text stating that the bet must settle within 48 hours of being placed. I completely missed this and my bet won almost exactly 49 hours after being placed resulting in £300 coming out of my exchange and the free bet winnings being voided in UK-K8. It’s extremely frustrating when things like this happen and, frankly, boarderline illegal for such terms to be hidden away in my opion.. but that’s just how it goes sometimes and highlights why you should always read the offer terms carefully!

2018 has been a new record breaking year for my matched betting. Thanks to the World Cup in the summer, a few decent loopholes and plenty of hard work I managed to make an amazing £41,442.42!

Over the past year we’ve also started the Matched Betting Guys & Girls Facebook Group, Been the first to discover a few loopholes and poked fun at some of the Matched Betting community out there.
