Welcome to the monthly Matched Betting Blog update. Each month I blog about matched betting and what matched betting offers I took part in. I also use Smarkets for almost all of my bets as it has the lowest commission charge of all the major exchanges.
This month the Matched Betting Guys & Girls Facebook Group reached over 850 members! This was a fantastic milestone so thank you to everyone who has joined us and I hope you have found it of value.
January started off very slowly and I was worried it might be a particularly poor month, fortunatly I had alot of luck on the lay-to-lose arbs from Betfair which brought in well over £1500 worth of profit. This offer means Betfair will let you place any bet on UK & Irish horses worth up to £500 worth of winnings. To take advantage you need to be very quick and snipe the arbs in the last few minutes before each race starts. Typically I will do £100 bets at a time and aim for around 1 point difference so aiming for matches like 5/4.9, 3.5/3.4 etc with full underlay to have a shot at £10 profit if it wins.

- £100 from Marathonbet offers
- £80 from Coral poker loophole
- £40 from Betfred greyhound free bets
- £120 from Gamesys reloads

If you made £1,500 at £10 a time, does that mean you backed 150 winners or am I missing something?
£10 per £100 bet. You can bet on the same horse multiple times up to a £500 winnings limit so for a 3.5/3.4 match you can bet 2 x £100 on it for a potential £20 if it wins. A 2/1.9 match would let you bet £100 on it for a potential £50 if it wins.

2up is an excellent offer but alas I am gubbed by Bet365. My advice would be to smash it while you can.
Coral Poker Loophole? What is this and is it always available?
It seems to be always avaliable, basically they give free poker tokens for deposits to pokwer but the loophole is that they seem to be counting deposits to any area of the site so all your sports offers will count.
