Welcome to the monthly Matched Betting Blog update. Each month I blog about matched betting and what matched betting offers I took part in. December was a surprisingly good month for matched betting. Usually a lot of casino sites do various christmas countdown offers which are not worth much, however a couple were excellent value and could be repeated daily. Someone certainly messed up at Galacasino by accidentally setting the free spins value at £1 per spin instead of 10p. I managed to make a couple of hundred from these over a few days before they realised!

Also of note was the beginning of the amazing Smarkets £10 refund offer. We were all shocked to see that it applied to existing customers as well as new ones, and could be repeated weekly! Frankly I’m shocked they ran the offer at all as it must be costing them loads but I still took full advantage.

January saw the meltdown of various Netkan sites (JackpotJones, ScorchingSlots, etc). They emailed out an offer to a few customers which would reward a £10 playthrough with 30 free spins. A good offer make exceptional when the websites started glitching and offered out many many more free spins than originally intended. I saw some people getting as many as 200+ free spins from just their initial £10 deposit. It was crazy and never going to end well once the big freebie groups picked up on it and started advertising to all their members. Eventually the casinos realised what was going on, suspended everyone’s accounts and then voided all winnings from the free spins leaving a lot of people out of pocket from wagering their initial £10 deposits. Take this as a warning that you exploit loopholes or glitches at your own risk, and I’d especially avoid any you see posted in big groups as there will be thousands of others drawing attention to the issue.

Finally I continued to plough on with the low/medium-risk casino offers. Most of these only have a few quid in value but it’s all about volume and consistently tackling them every day to ride out the variance. In December I made £1800 and in January made £2000 purely on these casino offers. I tend to find most of my casino offers from TeamCasino. They seem to catch many of the offers the other guide sites miss and I like their profit tracking interface. A word of warning though; TeamCasino and their sister sites are aimed at total beginners with a heavy focus on pushing affiliate links. Some of the offers I’ve seem them post are of poor value and risk losing valuable accounts which should be saved for better offers over Cheltenham etc. They are quick to shut down any negative discussion on their Facebook groups so if in doubt please ask in the Matched Betting Guys & Girls group.
