March Matched Betting Profit: £6,332.62

Welcome to the monthly Matched Betting Blog update. Each month I blog about matched betting and what matched betting offers I took part in. If you want to join me in making money from matched betting; I recommend signing up for a site like Profit Accumulator to guide you. I also use Smarkets for almost all of my bets as it has the lowest commission charge of all the major exchanges.

Cheltenham Festival

Wow, what a week that was. Stressful, exhausting, thrilling and and absolute hammering on my exchange.

Initially I was a bit worried at the start of March as there seemed to be far less “bet builder” type offers in the leadup to Cheltenham. The only real standout one this year was from Betfair Exchange (£50 free bet) which was a nice profit but nothing to really shout about. Bet365 remained surprisingly quiet and the offers from Coral/Ladbrokes.. dreadful.

William Hill did well, extending their 2nd place refunds to be every day in the leadup to and during Cheltenham. I usually aim for horses at about 4-7.0 odds and keep qualifying losses of under 80p. These were a decent stream of revenue throughout March.

The BIG earners though were from extra places. I really hammered these this year and combined with dutching for some of the really stand-out races. To give you an idea of scale; at one point I had over £30,000 worth of bets & exchange liability tied up. Crazy figures but when a single boom on extra placing can make £1000 its worth the investment if your bank can stomach it.

Dutching also went well, with one race locking in £700 from £4k staked across a few accounts. Skybet really were the best option in this case as I like to look after my bet365 account for the £50 inplays instead.

During the 4 days of Cheltenham I made about £4000.

Casino Offers

As always I continued to plough through the low-risk casino offers, mostly in the evenings after the horse racing had finished. Small ones like Betfair’s bet £10 get £2 bonus really add up when you do them every single day. I also had decent wins from Skyvegas weekly offers and Meccabingo.

If you’re interested in starting casino offers; Profit Accumulator have launched their new Diamond membership which combines Profit Accumulator and Bonus Accumulator into a single subscription making things even easier. I strongly recommend checking it out, even if you only do the welcome offers.

As always you can find me in the Matched Betting Guys & Girls Facebook Group.

  1. Hi,

D0o you still do the MBG bets? Is the course still a available? One of the dutching may be of interest to people also.
    Thanks

    1. Unfortunately most of the bookies updated their odds feeds making MBG far more difficult. As a result I no longer sell the course.

  2. Hi Guy, awesome stuff. I’m intermediate when it comes to matched betting. I’ve done the sign ups for sport and casino and I do regular ongoing offers, 2ups etc however my question is what is your horse racing strategy for extra places and do you ‘cover the field’ I’ve looked all over and people are making great money on horses it seems, I can’t get my head round it at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated

    1. I use the IO software available on Profit Accumulator to find good matches. Typically I’d aim for an IO of 1.5x #ofrunners for 1 extra place, IO of same amount of runners for 2 places and a reduced IO for 3 extra places.

  3. Your profits look crazy! Inspiring! 🙂

Where does the bulk of your profits come from?

Is it possible to have maybe a post on profit breakdown?

    1. Thank you. A large chunk currently comes from extra places and casino offers. I reckon it’s about 50% extra places, 40% casino and 10% sports reloads.
