June/July Matched Betting Profit: £10,391.63

Welcome to the monthly Matched Betting Blog update. Each month I blog about matched betting and what matched betting offers I took part in. If you want to join me in making money from matched betting; I recommend signing up for a site like Profit Accumulator to guide you. I also use Smarkets for almost all of my bets as it has the lowest commission charge of all the major exchanges.

I delayed writing this update at the end of June as I was still working my way through the Bonus Accumulator signup offers list and wanted to complete it first.

June was a fantastic month for sport with Royal Ascot and a lot of football restarting. During Royal Ascot I spent most of my effort focusing on minimum bet guarantee arbing, 2nd place refunds and each-way sniping. Personally for me it’s got to the point where I no longer bother much with price boosts or any other racing offer as the time/profit just isn’t worth it for me. Most price boosts have a £10 stake limit which works out at about £1 ev per boost and are quick to stake limit/gub if you do too many.

The really big money during Royal Ascot came from extra place sniping. This is where you place an each-way bet and hope the horse wins in the extra place position. I hit a couple of these including a massive 66/1 snipe at £200 which returned well over £1000 profit. I also attempted a bit of dutching but that was less profitable than Cheltenham as bookies were less generous.

Throughout both June and July I continued to follow the Bonus Accumulator daily offers list, picking off those with the best profit for time investment. Some standout offers have been from MrQ, Meccabingo, Dunder and Partypoker. If you don’t have these accounts I strongly recommend getting signup up as they do frequent good-value reload offers. From reload offers alone in June and July I made £3800 profit against £3700 EV which really demonstrates how profit and ev track nicely as long as you continue working through offers even during downswings.

Back to betting I was pleased to see Bet365 being generous with the inplay offer. I was originally getting £10 for these so started doing a few mug bets which resulted in being offered the full £50 again so well worth doing this if you are only getting £10 or £25 offers.

Finally I want to add that there has been some excellent discussions over on the Matched Betting Guys & Girls group around helping friends & family. I think it’s fair to say almost everyone who does matched betting helps at least their partner out from time to time however I’ve not found any other group which allows any sort of discussion around the issues. To be clear; I personally do not see anything wrong with helping others with matched betting, I see it as no different to placing a bet for someone in a bookie shop if they give you the money to do so or as part of a lottery syndicate where a group pool their funds. The bookies will claim its fraud but there has never been a single case brought in the UK to back this up and I doubt a bookie would ever risk starting a civil case for the risk of losing and opening the floodgates. I welcome discussion around the issue on the facebook group.

  1. What a refreshing view on the friends and family situation!

Well done for sticking your head above the pulpit and stating your views.

Obviously I agree, and the practice of having “putter oners” for people with inside track on horse racing info has been going on for years and there is never any consequences for that so I see no difference in doing a similar thing but with matched betting instead.

    Be lucky 🙂

  2. Hi mate…

Really great to see what you are doing and earning….. Do you mind if I ask, do you run everything through your own account. I have another 2 people who I can use – so I am trying to get an idea on what returns to expect…

Keep up the good work and posts

    1. I think it’s pointless for account preservation, far more effective are things like only betting on big matches and ignoring the obvious trap offers which would never appeal to a normal mug punter.

Mug bets can however help re-trigger offers on sites which sometimes remove them without doing a full gubbing. Sites like Bet365 for instance will judge how much of the inplay risk-free bet they give based on your recent betting amounts.

        1. Offers which require betting in a way a normal UK mug punter wouldnt. Things like foreign sports or playing casino games in a certain way.
