Paddy Power Sharbing For Beginners

Paddy Power Sharbing For Beginners

Shop-arbing or ‘sharbing’ is the process of placing bets in-shop and then laying them off on one of the online exchanges. The massive benefit to sharbing is that it’s not linked to your online account as so you can do it even if you’re gubbed online. PLUS you are able to go around all of the shops near you of the same type and place the same bet.

One of the best offers currently avaliable is Paddy Power’s Refund if losing at half time goldmine. The reason this offer is so good is because it’s also available in-store, and your bet doesn’t even have to lose to qualify for the free bet!

In order to access this cash shower, just follow these easy steps:

  1. Find out which football matches the offer applies to. It will be the first televised match on Saturdays + Sundays
  2. Walk in to your local Paddy Power show, find the coupon (coloured sheet of paper) which shows your selected match
  3. Place an X next to the team you’re going to back, then place an X next to £5 and another X next to £20 in the ‘stake’ section below your chosen team.
  4. Take coupon to the counter where they will scan it through their machine and give you the receipt. Hand over £25 cash (Never card!)
  5. Take coupon home, put the back odds into your calculator and place the bet as a Qualifer online, laying off on the exchange

If you’re lucky to live near 2 Paddy Power shops you can back team A in the first shop and team B in the other shop, giving you a free bet as long as it’s not a draw at half time.

When the match has finished, take your receipt instore to collect your winnings, or free bet, or both. The cashier should scan your losing at half time receipt and print you off another one for a £25 free bet valid for 7 days. Take this free bet away and then find a good high-odds football match later on in the week. Come back instore and use your free bet as if it were cash in a Stake-not-returned bet, lay it off on the online exchange when home.

Rinse and repeat! Make sure you remember which receipt is from which Paddy Power shop so you’re claiming back the winnings/free-bet from the same shop the bet was originally placed in.

  1. Hi Guy. Like the idea of this.
Would it be ok to back the two weekend matches at the same time? Team A in match one and two in the first shop and team B in match one and two in the second shop?
Would it also make sense to back the draw for a couple of quid once you get home ( without laying) just to compensate for the effort of visiting the shops and a draw happening?
Really enjoying my matched betting experience, just hit £2k profit after almost 3 months at it. As a 40% taxpayer it’s a nice little sideline. Thanks for the intro.

    1. Hi Andy, yes exactly so £50 worth of bets in both shops covering all 4 teams. Just as long as you’re not betting on 2 teams in the same match at the same shop!

Remember if you’re going to back the draw it would be a bet on the draw at half time, not a draw at the finish. I personally don’t bother doing this as the value works out pretty much the same over averages whether you back or not, however I know some people do do it. So far of the 4 games that have had this offer; all of them have hit the free bet trigger.

    1. Hello, no this was a special offer for the Euros. Hopefully they will do it again for the world cup.
