August Profit: £1828.88

August Profit: £1828.88

August saw the return of the football and with it a great opportunity to start sharbing. This was the first month I started placing sharb bets instore and doing some of the in-shop slot machine offers. Both of which paid out well and I’m going to be hitting them even harder in September to rake in profits without the risk of being gubbed. I’ve still got a few sign-ups to do next month as a few more casinos have been added to the Profit Accumulator list, so hopefully that should get September off to a good start along with the Sharbing offers.

Bets of specific note for this month:

  • Both NetBet and Bet365 gave large reload offers for £140 profit
  • 10x Paddy Power inshop & online refunds for £200 profit
  • Heart Bingo £50 for £50 deposit. Instant £50 profit!
  • £350 profit where a horse dropped out last minute and my Lay liability went from £355 down to £5!
  • Coral instore slot machine offer for £65 profit

  1. “£350 profit where a horse dropped out last minute and my Lay liability went from £355 down to £5!” – care to explain a bit more on this one? Sounds interesting! Thanks!

    1. It was originally a 3 horse race, odds were about: Horse #1 – ~1.8, Horse #2 – 3, horse #3 – 20.
Horse number 2 dropped out right by the start line, the odds of horse #1 dropped to 1.01 and horse #3 shot up to 100.

I’d placed a £500 qualifier on horse #1. It seems the bookie didnt apply any rule 4 deduction in time, so I was paid out £855 with a liability of £5 for £350 profit.

      1. Haha, that is brilliant!

Could that ever work in reverse though i.e. the bookie apply the rule 4 and the exchange didn’t? Guess it’s such a rare occurrence it’s probably not worth thinking about really.

Cheers for the explanation though, appreciate it.

        1. I’ve never had it in reverse. Occasionally you can get stung if the rule 4 % reductions are different between bookie and exchange but its a rare occurrence. Key is to avoid placing horse bets the day before.

  2. Started doing this 5 weeks ago. I’ve made £350 profit so far and I’m only half way through the advanced offers on PA. You seem to have done remarkably well – have you been gubbed by any bookies? I’m finding Ladbrokes/PP fairly lucrative but looking at the forums it seems they are amongst the first to restrict accounts. Have you had any issues/do you have any tips? Cheers.

    1. Hello Dan,

Sounds like you’re doing well, that’s £350 tax free in just over a month!

I’ve been gubbed by a few bookies, some are more gub-happy than others. Ladbrokes are one of the quickest while I’ve found PP to be fairly lenient. Most gubbings only affect your sports betting offers so people who have been doing this a while will switch to casino offers. These are far from risk free but still average out profits. Stick to the sports offers to begin with and then move on to casino offers once you’ve built up a decent profit margin so that you’re not hit if you encounter a string of losing casino offers.

Also sharbing instore has been a total goldmine for me these past couple of months. I’m gubbed with Ladbrokes but absolutely hammer their instore promotions by going around multiple different shops placing the same bets multiple times. One of their most recent offers was “bet £10 get £5 for the slot machines”.. well I just went round all 4 Ladbrokes in the town center placing 3 x £10 bets per shop. It was an easy £60 worth of slot credit for about £2 in qualifying losses.. £40 profit overall in 30 minutes “work”.

      1. Great, thanks. I’m gubbed with BetBright, Bet Victor and Betway but not Ladbrokes (yet). They’re my go-to “mug” bookie as they’re great for price boosts and various other reload offers so keen not to lose them. Cheers for the advice!

    1. Sharb offers are easy to spot as they’re advertised online and in shop. The non-offer related sharbs are more a case of grabbing a coupon of big matches early in the week and checking the exchange odds for any close ones. Typically the exchange prices start moving around on the day of each match so that is the best time to grab a sharb. There’s not any automated software to do this unfortunately as the shop coupon odds are not linked to their online odds.

    1. There’s nothing else you need to do to protect yourself from the bookies identifying you as an exchange user.
